Meet Angelo Gibaldi, head chef and owner of Stuzzichino, located in Melbourne’s Little Italy – Lygon Street.

Angelo has been working on Lygon since he was 16. Although he trained as a chef in Sicily, he says he learned many of his skills from his Nonna.

Stuzzichino is a family affair, and Angelo works the kitchen with his mother, Guiseppa. They are the only mother-son team on the Street.

They are in to good food, fine dining and take the concept of “fresh food” to a whole new level. Angelo has been known to bring back his catch from a fishing or hunting trip to make a delicious feast for his customers.

A proud new member of OnePlate, Angelo hopes to travel to Manila someday and bring his skills to the feeding program.

“If that was us,” he said “I would hope that someone would look after me.”

Stuzzichino has offered their creamy Chicken Marinara for those who love food and want to make a difference.

Their signature dish, the Marinara plates a generous serve of chicken breast, topped with prawns, calamari and scallops in a creamy seafood sauce, all served on buttered seasonal vegetables and saffron risotto. Yum!

But don’t take our word for it.

Wander down to Stuzzichino and try it out for yourself.
